A little about me!

Just a little about my background......

My father was a master builder, and I learned much valuable experience from him.

Over the years I have spent very much time in the building business, buying, refurbishing and reselling properties as well as carrying out extensions and alterations for clients.

I have also been involved in property development and have built over 35 new properties around the Poole Dorset and New Milton/Hants areas of the UK.

Now I am basically retired.....and working harder than I have for years....but it does keep me fit....:-)

Married for over thirty years, and for 20 years or more was very good...... now I am divorced and share my life with my one and a half pussy cats....:-))  

They don't OFTEN answer back....... and are VERY LOW MAINTENANCE....:-)))

I moved out to Magalas, Herault in August 2003 after buying an old winery and I converted the grenier into a Parisien style apartment.....and I loved every minute.... I have returned only four or five times to the UK since for 2/3 days and couldn't wait to get back here....:-)

Moved on a little since..... sold the apartment at Magalas..... Eventually.....! Took a long time... and then I was hit with a HUGE bill for TVA!

Because I had changed the use from a commercial building to an apartment the French classed it as a new property and because I sold it within 5 years...... they charged TVA at 19.6% on the full sales price!!!!!!!!

It cost me over 35,000 € YIPES!!!!!

Yep, I have to tell you.... THAT HURT!       So BE WARNED!
